NCCIA arrests suspect for blackmailing minor in Peshawar

The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) has claimed to arrest a suspect involved in blackmailing a minor child by using immoral video footage in Peshawar, 24NewsHD TV reported on Friday. 

According to officials, a raid was conducted in the Naran area of Hayatabad, where Abdul Wakeel, a resident of Bajaur, was taken into custody by the NCCIA team.

Authorities said the suspect had allegedly recorded an obscene video of a minor child and later used it to blackmail the victim.

Following the arrest, a case has been registered at the Cyber Crime Circle, Peshawar.

This is the first case of the year to be registered under the Prevention of Electronic Crimes (Amendment) Act 2025.
