LHC suspends dismissal notices to Health Dept’s daily wagers

Lahore High Court providing major relief to daily wage employees of Health Department has suspended their dismissal notices, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday. 

The court ordered Health Department to take steps to regularize employees.

Justice Muhammad Sajid Mahmood Sethi heard the petition of Rizwan Ali and other employees.

The petitioner submitted in their application that employees have been working on daily wages in the Health Department for a long time. 

The petitioner’s lawyer argued that department issued dismissal notices instead of regularizing the employees.

Daily wage employees who have worked continuously for none months are eligible for permanent status, petitioner's lawyer argued.

The court should declare the dismissal notices of the petitioner employees null and void and the dismissal notices should be suspended until the final decision of the case.
