A woman gave poison to her 17-year-old daughter in a so-called honour killing case in Kot Lakhpat area of Lahore on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Accused Saira fled from her home after killing her daughter Laiba by mixing poison in her medicine.

Asif, father of the victim, reached the Kot Lakhpat Police Station and appealed the authorities to nab the alleged killer who killed her daughter.

Victim Laiba was brought to a hospital for emergency treatment but she could not survive.

Asif claimed that her wife was not happy with her daughter and even threatened to kill her as well for quite some time.

The father of the deceased submitted an application against his wife. He, however, claimed that police were forcing him to settle the matter instead of lodging the FIR.

Lahore Police took the body from the crime scene and shifted it to a morgue.

The horrific and inhumane incident occurred when the father of Laiba was not present at home.
