Hindu pilgrims return to India after celebrating Maha Shivaratri festival

Hindu pilgrims returned to India after celebrating their religious festival, "Maha Shivaratri," reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

A delegation of 112 pilgrims left for India from the Lahore-Wagah border.

The Hindu pilgrims arrived in Lahore on February 24 and returned home after a seven-day stay.

Provincial Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora bid farewell to the Hindu pilgrims.

The Hindu pilgrims were busy with their religious rituals and sightseeing for seven days.

Hindu pilgrims said that Maha Shivaratri is a Hindu festival celebrated every year in honor of the god Shiva.

We round the Anarkali Bazaar in Lahore and ate and drank well, Hindu pilgrims said.

The Minister Ramesh Singh Arora said Hindus and Sikhs always carry a message of peace and love from Pakistan.

Grateful to the Chief Minister for making minorities the crown of his head, Ramesh Singh Arora said.

Delegation leader Tarlok Chand said we were welcomed and treated with hospitality beyond our expectations. 

Provincial Minister Ramesh Singh Arora presented bouquets to Hindu pilgrims at the time of farewell.

Additional Secretary Shrines Saifullah Khokhar and Deputy Secretary Umar Javed Awan were also present.
