A Chinese business delegation comprising representatives from over thirteen prominent companies in the fields of technology, trade, and infrastructure Friday, visited the head office of the Punjab Industrial Estates Development and Management Company (PIEDMC) to explore avenues for investment and collaboration.

Welcoming the delegation, PIEDMC Chairman Javed Iqbal expressed Punjab’s openness to foreign investment and assured the visiting companies of full support and facilitation.

"We warmly welcome Chinese investors to Punjab and are committed to providing every possible facility within our industrial zones," he added.

Javed Iqbal further remarked that the visit would play a significant role in identifying new investment opportunities and further strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and China.

Earlier, the Chinese delegation praised the infrastructure, quality, and one-window operations of PIEDMC-managed industrial zones.

They expressed strong interest in making multimillion-dollar investments across various sectors, including manufacturing, energy, and logistics.

The delegation was also given a detailed briefing on the PIEDMC’s ongoing projects and the industry-friendly initiatives currently underway.

The delegation praised the business environment being fostered in Punjab and highlighted their interest in long-term collaboration.

To formalize the cooperation, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between PIEDMC and the Chinese firm Precise Development HK Ltd.

The agreement was signed by PIEDMC CEO Captain (r) Shoaib Ali and Precise Development CEO Hugh David Chiu.

Additionally, both parties agreed to establish a dedicated Pak-China Business Cell and a research lab under PIEDMC to further facilitate mutual cooperation and research-driven industrial growth.

The visit concluded with optimism from both sides regarding future investments and enhanced bilateral economic engagement.
