Tit-for-tat move! PBA stops airing Indian songs on FM Radio stations
In a tit-for-tat move, the Pakistan Broadcaster Association (BLA) has stopped airing Indian songs on FM Radio stations. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar also appreciated the ‘principled decision’ by the BLA.
The decision came a day after India imposed a ban on Pakistani stars, drama serials, as well as entertainment channels, following the Pahalgam attack, which left 26 tourists dead.
Not just this, India has also banned 16 Pakistani YouTube channels.
In case the readers are not aware, the Instagram accounts of several Pakistani actors, including Hania Aamir and Mahira Khan, are no longer accessible to users in India.
The accounts of several popular Pakistani actors and content creators shows up 'Account not available' message when accessed by users from India.
"Account not available in India. This is because we complied with a legal request to restrict this content," Instagram says on these accounts.
