Mohammad Ali punished for breaching PSL code of conduct

Hyderabad Kingsmen fast bowler Mohammad Ali has been fined 10 percent of his match fee for a Level 1 breach of the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct during Eliminator 2 against Islamabad United at the Gaddafi Stadium on Friday night, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

The incident took place in the 16th over of Islamabad United’s innings when Faheem Ashraf walked in to bat after the dismissal of Haider Ali.

Ali was found in breach of Article 2.21 of the PSL Code of Conduct, which relates to conduct that brings the game into disrepute.

The right-arm pacer pleaded guilty to the offense and accepted the sanction.

The charge was levelled by on-field umpires Ahsan Raza and Shahid Saikat while Match Referee Roshan Mahanama imposed the penalty.

Earlier, a blistering unbeaten half-century by wicket-keeper batter Usman Khan and inspired bowling by Hunain Shah powered Hyderabad Kingsmen to the final of PSL 11 as they defended 186 runs target and beat three-time champions Islamabad United by twp runs in the Eliminator 2 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on Friday night.
