PM Shehbaz to visit UK, US from Sept 17: sources

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is expected to embark on visits to the United Kingdom and the United States from September 17, with a series of high-level meetings planned during the trip, sources said.

According to sources, the prime minister will leave for the UK on September 17 and is expected to stay there for two days.

During his visit to Britain, Shehbaz Sharif is likely to hold important meetings, the sources added.

The prime minister is then expected to depart for the United States on September 19.

During his stay in the US, Shehbaz Sharif will attend the session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Sources said the prime minister is also expected to hold key bilateral meetings with world leaders on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

A meeting between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and US President Donald Trump is also expected during the US visit, according to sources.

The visits are expected to focus on bilateral relations, regional and international developments and Pakistan’s engagement with key global partners.
