PCB fines Kingsmen pacer Mohammad Ali for code of conduct breach

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said on Saturday it has fined Hyderabad Kingsmen pacer Mohammad Ali for breaching the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Code of Conduct during a playoff match.

According to the PCB, the right-arm fast bowler violated Article 2.21 of the PSL Code of Conduct, which covers “conduct that brings the game into disrepute.”

As a result, the 33-year-old has been fined 10% of his match fee for a Level 1 offence.

The incident took place during the 16th over of Islamabad United’s innings in the PSL 11 Eliminator 2 match against Hyderabad Kingsmen, when Ali was involved in a heated verbal exchange with batter Mark Chapman.

The PCB did not announce any further disciplinary action, indicating the matter has been resolved under the existing code of conduct framework.
