PTI internal rift deepens in KP as senior official resigns
Internal differences within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have intensified in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after a senior party office-bearer resigned, citing disagreements over leadership style and decision-making.
PTI’s provincial joint secretary, Engineer Khaista Muhammad, stepped down from his position, saying his resignation was driven by differences with the provincial leadership.
In his statement, Khaista Muhammad alleged that an “authoritarian culture” had developed within the party, claiming that key decisions were being taken without consulting the provincial cabinet.
He further said organisational matters were being handled without proper consultation, adding that even the notification for appointments in the Malakand region was issued without involving relevant party officials.
