Over 828,000 Afghans have returned to their homeland so far
Over 828,000 Afghans have been deported to their homeland so far as their return through different border crossings continues, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
As many as 5, 220 Afghans crossed into Afghanistan on Saturday through Torkham border.
Of these, 19 were from Islamabad while 450 were from Punjab; 401 were legal, while 2,314 were staying in the country illegally.
From other provinces, 25,392 Afghans have returned to their homeland so far.
As many as 19 Afghans were deported through different transit routes in KP namely Peshawar, Landi Kotal and Kohat on Saturday, bringing the total number of Afghans returning to their homes through these routes to 7,261.
