Bugti vows transparent governance, announces major development projects for Sanjawi and Ziarat

Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti on Sunday pledged to deliver transparent and people-centered governance across the province, vowing to personally reach every corner of Balochistan to serve its people, even “on foot” if resources fall short.

Addressing a large public gathering in Sanjawi, Bugti said that the problems and resources of the province were well-known and that his government’s top priority was to ensure the transparent and effective utilization of available funds.

He announced that the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Sanjawi would be converted into a 20-bed exemplary medical facility under a public-private partnership model similar to Bekar Hospital. The Chief Minister also revealed plans to build separate buildings for boys’ and girls’ colleges in Sanjawi and provide two new buses for students.

Bugti further announced the construction of a new administrative complex for officers and officials in Sanjawi, while stating that 14 inactive schools in Ziarat would be made fully functional after the winter vacations. He emphasized that recruitments in the Education Department were being carried out purely on merit, assuring strict action against any violations.

Acknowledging public concerns over the merger of Levies with the police, Bugti termed it “a difficult but necessary decision” aimed at improving law enforcement. He also announced the establishment of four new police stations in Sanjawi, the construction of a bypass and a 15-kilometer new road, and the initiation of a land settlement process for the area.

The Chief Minister said that administrative boundaries across the province were being reviewed and that the government was seriously considering the establishment of a new district in Ziarat after consultations with local stakeholders.

Reaffirming his commitment to fulfilling promises, Bugti announced the addition of two new blocks and four buses for Cadet College Ziarat, ensuring better educational facilities for the youth of Sanjawi.

“We will not make promises that cannot be fulfilled. Whatever we commit, we will deliver,” Bugti said, adding that his government would strive to live up to the trust and expectations of the people of Balochistan.
