Islamabad’s young doctors given raise in salaries

The protest campaign of the young doctors has proved successful as the federal government has given approval for raising their salaries, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

The federal government has approved a grant for raising salaries of the employees of Grade 17 to 21 working in the hospitals of the federal capital.

The Health Ministry issued a notification in this regard after receiving a green signal from Prime Minister Imran Khan.

According to the Health Ministry’s notification, the employees of Grades 17 and 18 will get 75 percent of their 2018 salaries as special healthcare allowance.

From Grade 19 to 21, employees will get 50 percent of their 2018 salaries as allowance.

According to the notification, the employees of Grades 17 and 18 will also receive 75 percent of their 2018 salaries as non-practising allowance.
