Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Saturday clarified that he had not resigned from his post.

According to the 24News HD TV Channel, he tweeted the one-line message and said: “I have not resigned from Chief Ministership.”

Jam Kamal who was also the president of the party had already resigned from the party leadership and also said in a separate tweet that the seat, position and status had never been the criteria for him and he would continue his political services as a party member in the BAP in future.

Balochistan CM also acknowledged in another tweet that he knew well about some people who were not comfortable and easy with him but he would continue his policies for the development of the province.

On the other hand, the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) Core Committee endorsed the resignation of Balochistan CM Jam Kamal Khan from the party’s presidentship and decided to call the executive committee meeting to announce new intra-party elections on the vacant seat.

Earlier today, the divisional organisers of the CM’s mother party—the BAP have authorized the Core Committee to take a final decision about the fate of Jam Kamal.

The BAP core committee was comprised of Jan Muhammad Jamali, Tariq Magsi, Naseeb Ullah Bazai, Saeed Hashmi and Saleh Bhootani.
