Eight education boards of Punjab, including Lahore, announce class ninth exams results

Five Education Boards of Punjab, including Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, on Wednesday announced the results of ninth class examinations, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Lahore:

Over 50 per cent candidates failed to get through the exams held in Lahore.

Announcing the results, Board Chairman Professor Badarus Salam and Controller Examinations Tauseefur Rehman said that 280,000 candidates appeared in the exams.

Out of these, they added, 130,000 remained successful, while 150,000 failed. 

The pass per centage, they informed, stood at 46.51.  

Faisalabad

More than 196,000 candidates from across the Faisalabad division appeared in the examinations.

Of these, about 100,000 students were declared successful. The board said the overall pass percentage was 51.21.

Chairman of the Faisalabad Board, Rana Binyamin, uploaded the results on the board's official website, allowing students to check their results online.

Students can visit the website to view their examination results and check their marks.

Bahawalpur:

Announcing the results, Bahawalpur Board Secretary Professor Adeel Malik Cheema and Controller Examinations Syed Muhammad Waheeduz Zaman Hamdani said that of one lakh, five thousand candidates who appeared in the exam, 40, 611 candidates passed the exam.  

Thus, the pass percentage, they added, stood at 38.46. 

Hamdani said that 100 transparency was ensured during the exams. “That’s why, the pass percentage stood at 38,” he added. 

He congratulated the students who got through the exams. “Those who could not pass the exams, should not feel disheartened and should keep on working hard.”

Multan:

Announcing the results, Multan Education Board Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmad Tatla said that overall, 140,000 students appeared in the exam. “Of these, 73, 301 remained successful,” he said, adding, “Thus, the pass percentage stood at 52.11 per cent,” he elaborated. 

Gujranwala:

As many as 249,000 candidates sat in the exams held under the auspices of Gujranwala Education Board, said Controller Examinations Professor Nadeem Ahmad.

He informed that 115,000 candidates got through the exams, while 133,000 candidates failed. “The pass percentage stood at 46.51 per cent,” he explained.

Jhang:

As many as 31, 874 candidates appeared in the annual examinations of 9th class from Jhang.

As many as 20,131 candidates were declared successful, while 11,743 candidates secured less than 33 percent marks.

Overall, 64 percent of candidates obtained more than 33 percent marks.

Chiniot:

As many as 13,215 students from Chiniot appeared in the annual examinations of 9th class, out of whom 6,043 were declared successful and 7,172 students obtained less than 33 percent marks.

Sargodha:

Overall, 1,7,782 candidates appeared in the annual examinations of 9th class under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Sargodha.

As many as 45,925 candidates were declared successful, while the pass percentage remained 42.61 percent.
