Fawad Chaudhry said that the moon will be clearly sighted in Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar and Karachi.
Earlier, in a bid to resolve the controversy of moon sighting and the announcement of Ramazan and the Eids, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee of Pakistan of the Ministry of Religious Affairs considered the inclusion of Mufti Popalzai of Qasim Ali Khan Mosque Peshawar in the committee.

Quoting sources, the TV channel reported that committee members in the Ruet-e-Hilal opined Mufti Popalzai should be on the list of committee members.
Reportedly, the incumbent Ruet-i-Hilal Committee Chairman Maulana Abdul Khabir last year expressed his willingness to use scientific knowledge in moon sighting within the limits of Shariah in order to end repeated controversies surrounding religious festivals such as Eids.
