IG Moazzam Jah Ansari bids farewell as Balochistan CM pays glowing tribute to his service
Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti Sunday heaped praise on Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari during his retirement ceremony, calling his tenure a proud chapter in the province’s fight against terrorism and crime.
Speaking at the farewell event, CM Bugti lauded Ansari for leading the Balochistan Police with “honesty, sincerity, and courage,” particularly during some of the most challenging periods marked by terrorism. “Even in the toughest times, Moazzam Ansari showed exemplary leadership,” Bugti said.
He hailed Ansari as a true son of the soil, who not only earned respect for himself but also elevated the dignity of the people of Balochistan. “This isn’t just a retirement — it’s the transfer of a proud legacy,” the chief minister added, drawing applause from officials and dignitaries present.
Bugti revealed that the decision to appoint Ansari as IG was rooted in deep trust and experience, a move that, he said, paid off with remarkable results. “The past nine months of working together were a model of mutual respect and coordination,” Bugti remarked.
He also praised the performance of various police units, including the CTD, ATF, Traffic, and CIA, crediting them for showing exceptional results under Ansari’s leadership. “When the intention is pure, neither lack of resources nor powerful enemies can block your path,” he stated.
