Shooter injures former PML-N councillor in Lahore
A former Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) councillor was injured in a shooting incident in Kahna, Lahore, after assailants allegedly opened fire through a hired shooter, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
According to details, the shooting took place while arrangements were being made to drain stagnant sewage water from the locality on the instructions of the Assistant Commissioner.
The former councillor was supervising the drainage work when the attack occurred.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant alleged that the attackers used a hired gunman to carry out the shooting.
The FIR states that six people were collecting money from local residents to finance the drainage work when the suspects arrived at the scene and opened fire.
The injured former councillor was taken to hospital, where he is continuing to receive medical treatment.
Police have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack and identify those responsible.
