Katrina Kaif’s husband Vicky Kaushal calls fatherhood 'biggest moment of 2025'
Vicky Kaushal has described becoming a father as the high point of his year, offering a candid reflection on parenthood in a new interview.
Speaking to GQ India about the arrival of his first child with Katrina Kaif, he said: “Becoming a father this year is my biggest moment of 2025. It is a magical feeling.
"I always felt that when the time came, I would be very emotional and ecstatic, but it has actually been the most grounding moment that I have ever experienced in my life.”
The couple, who welcomed a baby boy last month, were recently seen together at a public event where Vicky accepted congratulations from photographers with folded hands.
When asked about his son’s name, the actor gave a brief, teasing reply: “Bataata hoon (I’ll tell you),” suggesting an announcement may be on the way.
Katrina and Vicky shared the news of their child’s arrival on social media with the message: “Our bundle of joy has arrived. With immense love and gratitude, we welcome our baby boy.”
Vicky and Katrina’s relationship grew from an on-stage meeting to a private romance and in December 2021, they married in a ceremony at Indian state Rajasthan's Six Senses Fort Barwara. Since then, the pair have occasionally shared glimpses of their life together while largely keeping family matters discreet.
On the professional front, Vicky closes out a successful run in 2025 with Chhaava, an epic historical drama directed by Laxman Utekar that reportedly collected 807 indian crores worldwide. Looking ahead, he is set to appear in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, which also brings together Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt; the project is currently in production and expected in 2026.
Vicky also has additional projects in development. His recent remarks underline how the personal milestone of fatherhood has shifted his perspective even as he continues his film work, a stage in life that the actor describes as both emotionally significant and quietly transformative.
