Finance Minister assures KP govt payment of arrears

Adviser to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) on Finance Muzzammil Aslam on Tuesday met with Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
During the meeting, the minister assured the adviser that arrears would be paid to the province under the NFC Award.
Both also discussed the release of development funds for the merged districts of the province.
Aurangzeb also assured Muzammil that progress would be made on the payment of arrears to the families who had lost their homes.
They agreed to go ahead with consultations on NFC-related matters.
The minister said that the Center was aware of the issues confronted by the province.
