Four bodies found shot dead in Khyber

Four dead bodies have been recovered from the Shanko area of Bara in Khyber district, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

According to the District Police Officer (DPO) Khyber, all four individuals were shot dead, and their bodies were later found in the area.

Police said the bodies have been shifted to a hospital for postmortem examination, while an investigation into the incident is underway from all angles.

The police added that the motive behind the killings is not yet known, and the process of identifying the bodies is continuing.

Earlier, a policeman and his friend lost their lives when unidentified assailants opened fire on them in the Bara area of Khyber.

The incident happened in the jurisdiction of Milward Police Station in Bara tehsil of the Khyber tribal district.

It was learnt that the police constable Tauseef Khan and his friend Abdul Mat Khan were on their way when unidentified bike riders opened fire on them in the Milward area of Akakhel. Both lost their lives on the spot. 

The accused escaped after committing the crime. Soon after the incident, the police reached the place and took the bodies into custody.
