Punjab govt to introduce intravascular surgery for cardiac diseases
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz holds details talks with US heart specialists
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz held a detailed meeting with a delegation of Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Lahore on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The delegation was headed by Oklahoma Heart Hospital and Board of Directors (BoD) Chairman Dr. Naeem Tahirkheli.
The Chief Minister was informed that intravascular surgery is the modern and safest alternative to traditional open surgery.
During the meeting, the delegation agreed to provide the best training to doctors of Children Hospital, Jinnah Hospital and Nishtar Hospital.
On the occasion, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz lauded the health and education facilities of Rukhsana Foundation.
Maryam Nawaz was told that angioplasty, stenting, and ablation are performed through small incisions in the blood vessel.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz directed to purchase of instruments for intravascular surgery and introduced the same in Jinnah Institute of Cardiology and Nawaz Sharif Medical City, Nishtar Hospital and Jinnah Hospital.
