Convict in Imran Farooq murder case files appeal

Moazzam Ali, one of the men convicted of killing MQM leader Dr Imran Farooq in London in 2010, has filed an appeal in the Islamabad High Court against the life imprisonment awarded to him by a Pakistani court.

Moazzam Ali approached the court on Thursday against the June 18 court verdict that convicted him and two others of killing Dr Farooq in London in 2010.

He is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail. The other two convicts, Mohsin Ali and Khalid Shamim, have prepared their appeals and will be file in the high court soon.
