Pakistan, Uzbekistan to sign roadmap for defence industrial cooperation in August
Federal Minister for Defence Production Mohammad Raza Hayat Haraj met with Uzbek Ambassador Alisher Tokhtayev to discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence industry, reported 24NewsHD TV Thursday.
During the meeting, the Uzbek envoy reaffirmed his country's commitment to strengthening collaboration with Pakistan across all sectors, with special focus on defence production. Both sides agreed on the importance of exploring joint projects to boost capabilities and strategic ties in the defence sector.
A key outcome of the meeting was the mutual agreement to develop a “Roadmap for Defence Industrial Cooperation,” aimed at enhancing coordination and production synergies between the two nations. The roadmap is expected to be formally signed during the upcoming Joint Working Group meeting scheduled for August 2025 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
The talks reflect growing momentum in Pakistan-Uzbekistan ties and a shared interest in deepening industrial and strategic partnerships.
