Another polio case surfaces in Waziristan 

The eighth polio case has been confirmed in North Waziristan, 24NewsHD TV channel reported Friday.

A 20-month-old baby from Miranshah has been found hit by poliovirus, a spokesperson for the Health Ministry said

Authorities stepped up anti-polio efforts after the reports of two polio cases in North Waziristan in April,  Abdul Qadir Patel said.

All the cases are being reported in the same area, the spokesperson stressed, calling upon the people to take an active part in the anti-polio war.

He reiterated the resolve to continue the war on the virus.
