Dacoit killed during encounter with Lahore police

A dacoit who was waiting to commit robbery was shot dead by his colleagues during a police encounter in Lahore, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Sources of Crime Control Department (CCD) said the dead dacoit was identified as Nazim Ali wanted to commit robbery in Jubilee Town area of Lahore along with his colleagues.

After receiving credible information regarding presence of dacoits, a CCD team raided a site to arrest the dacoits.

After taking notice of the CCD team, dacoits opened fire on them. During heavy exchange of firing, dacoit Nazim Ali became injured after receiving serious bullet wounds.

Police shifted the injured dacoit to a local hospital but he breathed his last during the treatment.

Police transferred the dead body of the dacoit to a local hospital for autopsy. 

CCD sources said that all colleagues of the dacoit escaped from the scene taking advantage of darkness.

CCD source further said that different raiding teams were constituted to arrest the dacoits.
