Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan raised the slogan of ‘our electricity, our choice’ as his government approved establishing Pakhtunkhwa Transmission and Grid Company (KPTGC).

Concerned at the poor distribution of resources, the chief minister said for the first time, the province will produce and distribute electricity at its own.

Calling it a gift to KP people, he said: “The province is going to be empowered to go by choice. The establishment of KPTGC is a milestone in the history of the province.”

He cited PM Imran Khan’s vision as saying the province will have a high growth rate through low electricity rate.

“The KP is on the path of progress in the power sector and job creations. Commercial consumers will be provided with electricity at a low price to let them contribute to economic growth,” he explained.

He vowed to continue such projects to guarantee better public service delivery.
