Pakistan, Canada have vast opportunities for cooperation in diverse sectors: HC

Canadian High Commissioner to Pakistan Tariq Ali Khan called on Federal Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik in Islamabad today.

The High Commissioner briefed the Minister that Canada's Barrick Gold company is successfully working on Reko Diq project in Pakistan.

He said there are vast opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in critical minerals, energy, renewable energy and agriculture sectors.

The Minister said Reko Diq project is an important project for Pakistan and there are opportunities in several other projects in the areas adjacent to Reko Diq. He assured the High Commissioner of full support to promote a strong partnership with Canada.
