Saudi Arabia imposes strict health restrictions on pilgrims for Hajj 2026

The Saudi Ministry of Health has announced a set of strict new health restrictions for pilgrims intending to perform Hajj 2026, aimed at ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants, 24NewsHD TV reported on Monday. 

According to the new regulations, only individuals deemed healthy and fit will be allowed to undertake the pilgrimage.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has issued a health advisory to Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs, specifying that those with serious health conditions will be barred from traveling. 

This includes individuals suffering from liver failure, liver cirrhosis, and severe neurological disorders.

Similarly, women in the last three months of pregnancy have also been barred from performing the pilgrimage this year.

The health restrictions also extend to patients diagnosed with whooping cough, tuberculosis, hemorrhagic fever, or cancer.

 Furthermore, individuals undergoing chemotherapy, biological, or radiological treatments have been prohibited from entering the Kingdom.

Officials stationed at the Hajj camps will be authorized to prevent any pilgrim diagnosed with these conditions from proceeding to Saudi Arabia.

Saudi authorities have warned that legal action will be taken in case of any violation of these directives.

The Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Hajj, and airport authorities have been instructed to ensure full implementation of these health measures for the upcoming Hajj season.
