A man has raped his ex-wife at gunpoint and after dishonouring her, he threw acid on her in Burewala, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Reportedly, a man named Mumtaz entered the house of his ex-wife situated in Rizwan Town area of Burewala on Sunday and raped her at gunpoint. When he finished doing this malicious act, he did another devilish thing and threw acid on her injuring her severely.

He also got hold of cash and jewellery in the house and made off with Rs25,000 and gold ornaments. 

The woman was shifted to the THQ Hospital in injured condition. Her face and arm were badly burnt.

According to the woman, her ex-husband first raped her then took away cash and jewelry. She said he entered the house after climbing the outer wall of the house.  

Police reached the spot immediately and started investigations.
