Supreme Court (SC) judge Justice Qazi Faez Isa, who is admitted to Quaid-e-Azam International Hospital, Islamabad, on account of the coronavirus on Wednesday appealed to the people to follow the pandemic-related standard operating procedures (SOPs) and that all hospitals, including those owned by the military, be opened for the public, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In his message from the hospital, Justice Isa said he was receiving the best treatment at the hospital. “I express my gratitude to the entire nation for praying for my recovery as well as that of my wife,” he said.

The SC judge said he was admitted to the hospital despite the fact that he was administered the coronavirus vaccine. “I appeal to the people to comply with the SOPs, wear masks and maintain social distancing,” he said, and added, “It was unfortunate that the SOPs were flouted during the religious festival of Eidul Azha.”
Justice Isa was of the view that doctors should give tips to the people on television as to how they could protect themselves from the virus while religious scholars should enlighten them on the stress laid in Islam on taking protective measures against pandemics.

He said it was strange that he and his wife contracted Delta variant of the coronavirus despite the fact that they were administered the vaccine and were taking all the precautionary measures. “Article 9 of the constitution guarantees protection of life of a human being. The present situation is not less than a war,” he commented.
