The District Police Officer (DPO) Mardan has suspended six officers of the anti-narcotics team including an inspector for illegally detaining a citizen and demanding Rs20 million from him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday. 

The suspended team included Inspector Basir Khan, Head Constable Sabir Ali, three constables Waseem Abbas, Raj Wali, Jalal, and driver Arif. 

The DPO Mardan said that the anti-narcotics team illegally detained citizen Wahab and put him in an anti-narcotics cell.
