The murderer of a 12-year-old girl, who was strangled two months ago in Toba Tek Singh, turned out to be her mother, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.

Toba police resolved the mystery of the blind murder and arrested Sumaira, the mother of the murdered girl, and her paramour Younis.

Sumaira strangled her 12-year-old daughter Sehar and hung the body from a tree after the latter saw her with her paramour in an objectionable condition.

“On May 27, Sehr’s body was found hanging from a tree in Chak No. 329,” police said.

“Sumaira along with her paramour killed her daughter to hide her illicit affair,” they added.

Police also said that Sehar was the eldest among six siblings.
