Justin Bieber goes shirtless at SKYLRK HQ amid pricing backlash
Justin Bieber is making headlines with his fashion choices and cryptic social media updates.
The 31-year-old Peaches singer was spotted in West Hollywood visiting the headquarters of his new fashion line SKYLRK, where he turned heads by ditching his sweatshirt and going shirtless during the outing.
The surprise appearance coincided with a mysterious Instagram post in which he wrote, “Broke another olive branch”.
Dressed initially in a red hoodie and a white beanie, Bieber was seen greeting friends and taking phone calls before heading inside the building shirtless.
It’s just weeks after he launched SKYLRK's website on July 10, showcasing a range of pricey streetwear and accessories.
However, the singer’s latest fashion venture has already come under fire for what fans are calling ‘unreasonable’ prices. SKYLRK’s offerings include sunglasses for $200, chunky mule shoes for $180, zip-up hoodies for $160, beach slides for $80 and knit beanies for $40.
Critics on the brand’s Instagram page didn’t hold back, with one fan writing, “Price is ridiculous for a plain style, not worth it.”
Another added, “More than half of us can't even buy this stuff. Create a brand that’s affordable and universal.”
Many compared the pricing to Justin’s previous fashion brand Drew House, known for its more affordable and playful pieces.
The backlash came the same day Bieber posted a moody black-and-white selfie captioned, “Broke another olive branch,” possibly alluding to another falling out.
Fans were quick to connect it to past tension, as the singer previously shared screenshots of a heated exchange with a friend back in June.
Despite the online criticism, Bieber seems unfazed. He also uploaded several photos over the weekend, including a carousel of casual moments, playing the guitar, lounging in a tank top, and showcasing lavender-coloured shoes from SKYLRK while demonstrating his soccer skills.
