Mel B weds again! Spice Girl ties the knot with Rory McPhee in lavish Moroccan ceremony
Mel B has tied the knot for the second time in just weeks, with husband Rory McPhee.
The Spice Girl, 50, shared the news on Instagram, revealing that she and Rory, 37, celebrated their love once more at the luxurious Selman Marrakech hotel in Morocco, following their intimate wedding at London’s St Paul’s Cathedral last month.
“We got married!!! Again!” Mel wrote, alongside a collection of joyful snaps from the celebration.
“A wedding so good we keep the celebration going with our closest and dearest in our fav place at @selmanmarrakech... we had the time of our lives!!”
The Moroccan celebration was a glamorous contrast to her traditional British ceremony.
For this occasion, Mel opted for a bold, custom-made red gown by US designer Justin Alexander, working closely with London bridal consultant Caroline Black of Evelie Bridal.
The dress, covered in intricate red beading and hand-sewn crystals, featured a plunging neckline, dramatic slit, lace-up corset back, and a cathedral-length train.
The veil, a mocha-toned masterpiece adorned with red crystals, was designed to match the gown’s shimmer, blending traditional Moroccan style with Mel’s bold fashion sense. It reportedly took a team of six artisans more than 850 hours to complete the look.
Rory, who wore a traditional kilt at the London wedding, embraced another British designer for the Marrakech event, donning a sleek outfit from Alexander McQueen.
Only Emma Bunton attended the London ceremony among the Spice Girls.
Both Mel C and Victoria Beckham later posted heartfelt congratulations on Instagram, explaining their absence due to prior commitments.
However, Geri Halliwell-Horner, with whom Mel shares a complicated history, has remained silent, even amid speculation that the Moroccan event was a chance to mend ties.
Sources had hoped Geri might attend the Morocco wedding, which holds symbolic value for the girl group.
The Spice Girls had a mini reunion there in 2015 for David Beckham’s 40th birthday. Ironically, Mel B was the only one absent from that gathering at the time.
Mel and Geri's strained relationship dates back to 2019, when Mel revealed in an interview that the two had once been intimate during the early days of the Spice Girls. This claim reportedly upset Geri and her husband, Christian Horner.
However, fans and celebrities flooded Mel’s post with love. Victoria Beckham, Mel C, Heidi Klum, Paloma Faith, and Katie Piper were among the many who sent their well-wishes. Mel B is currently a judge on America’s Got Talent, and her American connection was reflected in her designer choice.
