Zille-Huma appointed ITNE chairperson for three years

The federal government has appointed Zille-Huma as chairperson of the Implementation Tribunal for Newspaper Employees for a three-year term.

The Establishment Division has issued a notification confirming the appointment.

The appointment follows efforts by Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar to fill the vacant position. Tarar had told a Senate committee in July that all matters concerning the appointment had been resolved and a notification would be issued soon.

The ITNE deals with matters concerning the implementation of wage awards and other employment-related rights of newspaper workers.
