Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar is in Colombo to attend the 75th Independence Day of Sri Lanka as a guest of honour, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Saturday.

During her two-day official visit, Hina Rabbani Khar will also call on the Sri Lankan leadership and hold a meeting with the country’s foreign minister.

On her arrival, Hina Khar was received by Sri Lankan State Minister for Tourism Ms Diana Gamage, Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Maj-Gen (retd) Umar Farooq Burki and officials of the High Commission.
