CDA launches operation in slums around QAU for vacating land

On the instructions of the Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Capital Development Authority (CDA) has started the second phase of acquiring all the land of Quaid-e-Azam University, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
In this regard, CDA has also sent notices to the slum dwellers through the Quaid-e-Azam University administration.
CDA had earlier acquired 25 acres of land of Quaid-e-Azam University.
The 25 acres of land included farm houses, cemented houses and slums.
Citizens had built regular houses there to spend their holidays.
Earlier, CDA had cleared the entire area and handed it over to Quaid-e-Azam University.
In the second phase, an operation against slums is to be started, for which notices have been issued.
