Prime Minister approves committee for appointment of NIH board members

The Prime Minister has approved the formation of a committee for the appointment of board members of the National Institute of Health (NIH), reported 24NewsHD TV channel Wednesday.

Following the approval, the Federal Ministry of National Health Services has issued an official notification detailing the composition of the committee.

According to the notification, Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal has been appointed as chairman of the committee, while the Secretary Establishment Division will serve as vice chairman.

The committee will include the Secretary Health, the Vice Chancellor of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Medical University, and the Vice Chancellor of the University of Health Sciences Lahore as members.

In addition, the Country Director of the Population Council has been appointed as a member of the committee. Renowned gastroenterologist Dr. Nasrullah Chaudhry has also been included among the committee members.

The committee will be responsible for overseeing the process of appointing board members to the NIH.
