Man confesses to killings of four people found dumped in Karachi gutter

In an interesting development in the case of the recovery of four bodies, one of a woman and three children, from a gutter in Mai Kolachi area of Karachi, a video statement of the murderer has surfaced in which he has said that he killed Aneela because she would practice black magic on him, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Masroor Hussain, the murderer, has said that he befriended Aneela two-and-a-half-year ago. “Due to black magic, I had lost my senses,” he has said, and added that five days ago, Aneela took him to Mai Kolachi to burn an amulet where he murdered her.

He has further said that after that he returned home, took Aneela’s three kids with him to Mai Kolachi where he murdered them as well. “After that, I dumped the bodies in a manhole and placed a blanket and stones on the gutter in order to conceal the bodies from people.”

He has revealed that Aneela lived in the same building where he lived and that his family would monetarily assist her as well.

On Saturday, 24News TV channel reported that the bodies of a woman and her three children, recovered from a gutter on Mai Kolachi Road, Karachi, had been identified.

According to police officials, the deceased woman had been identified as Anila, while her children are 13-year-old Kashar, 12-year-old Hasnain, and 10-year-old Konain.

The woman was a resident of Kharadar.

Police said the family had left their home four days ago and went missing on New Year's night.

Anila’s sister confirmed the identification of the mother and her children.

The family had recently moved to a rented flat in Kharadar.

Authorities added that Anila had been divorced by her husband Mukhtiar.

The bodies have been taken to Sohrab Goth morgue for further investigation.

Police are continuing their inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths.
