Mobile control room established in Islamabad under Ashura Security Plan
For the first time, a mobile control room has been established in Islamabad on the instructions of Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi under Ashura Security Plan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
The mobile control room is capable of remaining active even without mobile signals.
Drones and modern technology will monitor gatherings and processions.
In this regard, Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry along with Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry visited the central Imambargah Asna Asri in G-6.
Talal Chaudhry and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry visited the central hall of the Imambargah. They took a detailed review of the implementation of the security plan.
Talal Chaudhry and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry also inspected the mobile control room set up by the Islamabad Police.
Talal Chaudhry and Tariq Fazal Chaudhry expressed satisfaction with the security measures.
Talal Chaudhry said that as many as 1762 personnel have been deployed for security while 350 traffic personnel will be deployed at four entrances.
Foolproof arrangements have been made for the security of the mourners, Talal Chaudhry said.
He said that the National Cybercrime Investigation Agency is active to monitor hateful content on social media.
On the occasion, IGP Islamabad Police Ali Nasir Rizvi gave a detailed briefing regarding security arrangements.
IG Islamabad briefed that the mourners will leave Rawalpindi for Islamabad on 9 Muharram and Islamabad for Rawalpindi on 10 Muharram.
A sector-wise security plan has been prepared and an integrated security system has been established for meetings and processions.
Volunteers will also perform duties along with security personnel.
An integrated surveillance system with CCTV cameras is active on the procession routes.
Chief Commissioner Islamabad Muhammad Ali Randhawa. Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, DIGs, Chief Traffic Officers and SPs were also present on the occasion.
