Woman poisons daughter to death in Samundri 

A girl was killed after her mother allegedly gave her poison in Samundri near Faisalabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

The incident took place in a suburban village of Chak 482.

Police said the deceased was identified as 17-year-old Fiza.

The body was shifted to Civil Hospital for the post-mortem.

Soon after hearing the news, a DSP and an area SHO reached the crime scene along with a contingent.

A youth reportedly committed suicide near Noor Ata Chakki in PIB Colony in Karachi.

Rescuers said the deceased was identified as 24-year-old Owais.

Police, on the other hand, said that the youth, who worked at a shop, committed suicide as his family members had said that he was heartbroken after he was admonished by his father.

He took this to his heart and jumped from the rooftop of his house to end his life, police elaborated.

The Force, however, said it was investigating the incident from different angles.
