90% attendance requirement implemented for MBBS, BDS students

A minimum attendance of 90 percent and a passing mark of at least 70 percent has been implemented in government and private medical colleges, dental colleges and universities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.

Implementation of new Pakistan Medical nad Dental Council’s (PMDC) regulations has begun.

Attendance and passing marks increased for new MBBS and BDS sessions.

PMDC has increased the minimum attendance from 74 to 90 percent while passing marks for MBBS and BDS have been increased from 50 to 70 percent.

The standard of medical education has been made extremely strict from the new session.
