Suno Chanda 3 confirmed! fans’ favorite chaos returns
Actress Nadia Afgan has confirmed that the much-anticipated third installment of Suno Chanda was all set to go on floors this year, but production has now been pushed to next year due to Iqra Aziz’s pregnancy.
Appearing on a show hosted by Tabish Hashmi, Nadia addressed the frequent questions surrounding the drama’s return. She revealed that the project was not merely in discussion but had been fully finalized.
“People often ask whether Suno Chanda 3 is coming or not. It was not just coming, it was supposed to release this year,” Nadia shared.
According to her, contracts had already been signed, and the cast was scheduled to travel to London for filming. The international shoot was planned with key cast members including Nadia Afgan, Adnan Shah Tipu, Iqra Aziz, and Farhan Saeed.
However, production had to be postponed as Iqra Aziz was expecting.
“Everything was written, contracts were done and we were ready to leave for London. But since Iqra was expecting, the shoot couldn’t happen,” she explained.
Nadia added that the team now plans to bring the drama back next year during Ramadan, keeping in line with the franchise’s traditional release window.
Suno Chanda first aired in 2018 and quickly became one of Pakistan’s most successful Ramadan dramas, winning audiences over with its lighthearted family humor and the romantic storyline between Jiya and Arsal, played by Iqra Aziz and Farhan Saeed.
The second season followed in 2019, continuing the couple’s journey after marriage and maintaining strong viewership ratings.
With two hit seasons already under its belt, expectations for Suno Chanda 3 remain high. While the delay may disappoint fans, Nadia Afgan’s confirmation ensures that the beloved Ramadan franchise is firmly in the pipeline for next year.
