Over 150,000 people vaccinated in a single day: Asad

Federal Planning Minister and NCOC head Asad Umar said that for the first time the number of people administered vaccine have exceeded the 150,000 mark in a single day as a total of 164,000 people were vaccinated on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In a tweet, Asad Umar said, “Yesterday was the first day that people aged 40 and over were vaccinated.”

Pakistan has paced up the vaccine drive and started importing the vaccine to meet the domestic demand.

Prime Minister Special Assistant on National Health Services Regulations and Coordination Dr Faisal Sultan said on Monday that Pakistan expected to receive 19 million doses of Covid-19 vaccines by the first half of the ongoing year.
Dr Sultan said that the government has signed agreements to receive 30 million doses of the vaccines.
