Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has sacked former Test spinner Nadeem Khan, the elder brother of former cricketer Moin Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.

According to sources, PCB issued a letter of termination to Nadeem Khan on Tuesday.

It is pertinent to note that Nadeem Khan was appointed during the Ehsan Mani’s period and he also served as Domestic Director and the Director of National Cricket Academy, formerly known as the PCB High-Performance Centre.

The sources also disclosed that Nadeem Khan was in the UK with his family for a few weeks.

After the domestic system was changed during Imran Khan’s tenure, Nadeem Khan appointed coaches across the country and made many other important decisions.

However, since the revival of Najam Sethi’s management committee, his job was in jeopardy. His salary was reduced a few weeks ago and he was also transferred to the women's wing.

The Sethi-led committee sidelined him and appointed PCB Management Committee member Azad Syed as the head of the National Academy.

It should also be noted that he is the second former director to be fired after director HR Sarina Agha.
