PIA to resume flight operations to UK on October 25

The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Saturday said that it would resume its flight operations to the UK on October 25, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to the spokesman for the PIA, in the first phase, the airline will operate two flights from Islamabad to Manchester and an equal number of flights from Manchester to Islamabad every week; on Saturday and Tuesday.   

From Islamabad, the flight will take off at 12:00 PM and will reach Manchester at 5:00 PM, while from Manchester, the flight will take off at 7:00 PM and will reach Islamabad at 12:00 at midnight.

The spokesman further said that there would be a gradual increase in flight operations to Manchester, and in the second phase, the flight operation to London would also start.   

He informed that booking for these flights had already started and the fares were also quite reasonable.  

The spokesman went on to say that there was a lot of jubilation as well as enthusiasm among the national flag carrier’s employees at the resumption of flights to the UK after a gap of five years.
