Nearly 29,000 people displaced in 24 hours as floods worsen in Sindh: PDMA

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Sindh reported Thursday that nearly 28,940 people were displaced from their homes over the past 24 hours due to the worsening flood situation in the province.

According to PDMA, 5,474 individuals received treatment at medical camps established across Sindh in the same period. Meanwhile, relief efforts extended to livestock, with 20,818 animals shifted to safe locations and 67,671 treated at animal care camps.

So far, 528 relief camps and 151 medical camps have been set up across Sindh to assist affected families. The PDMA added that rescue and relief operations are continuing in flood-hit areas, with priority being given to shelter, healthcare, and livestock protection.
