PDMA officer injured in Bannu terrorist attack

An officer of Pakistan Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Adnan Ali Shah and his colleague received serious bullet wounds when unidentified terrorists opened fire on their vehicle in Bannu, reported 24HD News Channel on Saturday.

The incident occurred in the Domali Police Station jurisdiction near Kashu Bridge.

Sources said that terrorists established a checkpost on Main Road. The terrorists signalled the vehicle to stop but the driver of the vehicle ignored them and tried to fled away. 

The terrorists then opened fire on the vehicle. PDMA official Adnan Ali Shah who is a cousin of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Secretary Shahab Ali Shah and his colleague got seriously injured. 

The victims were on their way back to Bannu from Karak.

Soon after receiving the report of the incident heavy contingent of police reached the spot and shifted the injured persons to Khalifa Gul Nawaz Hospital in Bannu.

Further investigation was under way.
