Local police arrested a man for killing his son in Hafizabad town of Punjab, 24newshd TV channel reported on Thursday.

According to the police, the accused shot his son dead as the deceased refused to give him money.

The arrested asked for money to buy narcotics as he is a junkie, the lawmen said, adding that he has been booked on the complaint of the accused his younger son.

The detainee is named as Iftikhar and the deceased is identified as Rubnawaz.

Reportedly, the accused packed the body of his son in a sack and dumped it to hide his crime.  The police say investigation is underway.
